【摘要】:Thereisaneedtomonitortheleadcontentinandaroundbuildingsandrelatedstructuresinordertodeterminethepotentialleadhazard.Hence,effectiveandefficientmethodsarerequiredforthepreparationofsoilsamplesfordeterminationoftheirleadcontent.Thispracticemaybeusedforthedigestionofsoilsamplesthatarecollectedduringvariousconstructionandrenovationactivitiesassociatedwithleadabatementinandaroundbuildingsandrelatedstructures.Thepracticeisalsosuitableforthedigestionofsoilsamplesforleadanalysescollectedfromotherlocations,suchasnearroadsandsteelstructures.Thispracticeisintendedtobeusedtopreparesamplesthathavebeencollectedforhazardassessmentpurposes.Thispracticeisnotcapableofdeterminingleadboundwithinmatrices,suchassilica,thatarenotsolubleinnitricacid.Thispracticeincludesdryingandhomogenizationstepsinordertohelpassurethatreportedleadresultsarerepresentativeofthesampleandareindependentofpotentialdifferencesinsoilmoisturelevelsamongdifferentsamplinglocationsorchangingweatherconditions.1.1Thispracticecoversdrying,homogenization,andaciddigestionofsoilsamplesandassociatedqualitycontrol(QC)samplesusingahotplatetypemethodforthedeterminationofleadusinglaboratoryatomicspectrometryanalysistechniquessuchasInductivelyCoupledPlasmaAtomicEmissionSpectrometry(ICP-AES),FlameAtomicAbsorptionSpectrometry(FAAS),andGraphiteFurnaceAtomicAbsorptionSpectrometry(GFAAS).1.2ThispracticeisbasedonU.S.EPASW846Method3050.1.3Thispracticecontainsnotesthatareexplanatoryandarenotpartofthemandatoryrequirementsofthisstandard.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
